Actor, comedian and talk show host Nick Cannon is expecting a child…again.
Cannon took to Instagram today to announce that he and model Brittany Bell are expecting their third child — his tenth. Cannon and Bell posed for photos in a maternity photoshoot that he shared in an Instagram video:
Cannon is already reportedly awaiting his ninth (!!!) child with model Abby de la Rosa, who’s due in October. (Newsweek noted that she has yet to confirm the father.) And there are more children on the way. While appearing on Angela Yee’s “Lip Service” podcast, Cannon was asked about his growing family. Yee asked: “I need to ask you about a story we saw. It said you have three babies on the way. Is that true or false?”
“Let’s just put it this way,” Cannon laughed. “The stork is on the way.”
In June 2021, Cannon and de la Rosa welcomed twin boys Zion and Zillion. That same month, model Alyssa Scott gave birth to his son Zen. Unfortunately, Zen died from brain cancer in December, at just five months old. Cannon says he fell into a depression after the loss, which drove him to sabotage the celibacy that he’d been practicing at the behest of his therapist.
“My therapist […] had told me I needed to chill out,’ he told Yee. “Like, ‘Yo, let’s try celibacy.’ And that was, like, October. I didn’t even make it to January. I was supposed to make it to the end of the year. Then obviously, I started going through some stuff; I got depressed with the loss of my son,” he said.
“And the thing was, everybody saw I was down, and they were like, ‘Just give him a little vagina and that’s gonna cure it all,” Cannon explained with a laugh. “I fell victim to it ’cause I was in a weak state. So December, especially right before Christmas, I started f–king like crazy … So I broke the celibacy,” Cannon added.
By January, Cannon was expecting another child — his eighth — with actress Bre Tiesi. He’s already a father to children Golden and Powerful Queen (with Brittany Bell) and twins Monroe and Moroccan, with ex-wife Mariah Carey.
